After earning bachelor and master degrees in architecture at UC Berkeley and Columbia University respectively, Dennis worked for Michael Rotondi for two years and Frank Gehry for five years in Los Angeles. Upon returning to Asia, Dennis joined Swire Properties and worked on the developer’s first luxurious lifestyle hotel, The Opposite House, in Beijing. After completing the hotel in time for Beijing Olympics, Dennis and Terry Ng found ARCHITECTURE:INNOVATIV – a multi-disciplinary design practice with more than 20 employees in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai offices.

Dennis is a Hong Kong-born, America trained and licensed architect with 20 years design and construction experience on international projects across the US, Europe, China, and Hong Kong.

He is also a LEED AP with strong affection on sustainable and responsible design, he teaches architecture seminar classes at the University of Hong Kong and often serves as visiting critic at Chinese University and HKU Space.

Dennis travels extensively and set foot on more than 40 countries. He backpacked in Europe, Africa, and South America, and volunteered on sanitary facility construction project at the village of Hlefi in Ghana and at the Missionaries of Charity by Mother Teresa in Lima, Peru. Building on his overseas volunteering experience, Dennis started with his brother Ken Lee a non-profit organization CHILDREN FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION in 2012. The foundation provide pro bono design and construction management services for other NGOs including Lions Club of Hong Kong North, Project Share, The Sisters of the Precious Blood, and Society of Community Organization.
