The designer believes that the future Cheongsam will embody Western elements, and will be an expression of individuality. The designer sees the Western suit as solemn and confining, a garment that is bred of necessity more than desire, while the Cheongsam is a free expression of individuality and personal style. With this fusion of men’s cheongsam and Western suit, the designer wishes to lead the wearer on a road to rediscover one’s self.
