Jat See-yeu wrote the two characters zhan chi (unfurling wings) in running script. He freely experimented with ink diffusion and deliberate played with varied characters forms, strokes and composition, as well as negative space. His meticulous attention to the brush and character composition vividly captured the meaning and imagery of the characters to create a work with unique interest and charm.
