PROSPERITY COINS
This pattern is inspired by the traditional Chinese prosperity coin that can be found on practically everything in old HK, from traditional galvanized iron mailboxes, old floor tiles, “Prosperity Coin” ceramic dinner bowls, lai see packets, fung shui charms to even silk brocade. The galvanized iron traditional Chinese mailbox with the iconic prosperity coins pattern is one of the past era items on display in the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, and has become a vintage memorabilia, and “Galvanized Iron Product Making Technique” has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage by the Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Office.
