HK INTANGIBLE CULTURAL INHERITOR - MASTER PO
With over 40 years’ experience in making traditional Chinese flower buttons, Master Po Ming-Hua is one of a rare few of flower button masters in HK, and has earned her the prestigious title of “Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritor – Flower Button”. Master Po’s masterpieces have been selected into HK History Museum’s permanent collection. With a pair of tweezers, she performs magic on silk-covered wires, bending and twisting them into phoenix, butterflies, birds, natural wonders and Chinese characters that symbolize prosperity and good fortune.
