INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE OFFICE (SAM TUNG UK MUSEUM) - ICH COLLECTION

In 2016, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office (ICHO) set up the "Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre" at Sam Tung Uk Museum as a display and resource centre.
.
As a living testament to Hong Kong's rural past, the Sam Tung Uk Museum, also known as "Three-House Complex," represents the traditional architecture, lifestyle, and community dynamics of the Hakka people, who played a vital role in shaping Hong Kong's cultural fabric. Evoking nostalgia and serving as a reminder of the city's transformation from a rural society to a bustling metropolis, the museum offers a glimpse into the city's rich historical and cultural heritage, and holds a significant connection to Hong Kong's pop culture, heritage, and collective memories.
