Tea is an indispensable component of a refined, scholarly lifestyle. Jat See-yeu enjoyed scholarly companionship over tea, and as such, tea poetry had become a common subject in his calligraphy. This work features a poem on brewing tea by the renowned Tang Dynasty poet Pi Rixiu in cursive script. The overall composition is harmoniously balanced with free-flowing and natural brushstrokes.
