AUSPICIOUS CLOUDS BY KONG YU SHAN, CHOLE

This design took inspiration from auspicious clouds, mixing Chinese mandarin collar and cheongsam slanted front with modern clothing outlines to create an overall simple and smooth shape. The unique coat design and accessories add a youthful and fashionable sense to the piece.

COOL GIRL BY YAN SZE KI


This design adopts the rapper streetwear style combined with Chinese cheongsam elements such as mandarin collar and knot button to create the “Cool Girl” look. Stylish and feminine yet with a tough street-smart feel, this unique ensemble radiates with individuality and boyish charm.

This design is inspired by the mosaic tiles and HK iconic snacks “pineapple bun” and “egg tart” commonly found in HK’s thematic restaurants – the “cha chaan teng”. Tulip sleeves and mini pleated skirt add femininity and playfulness to this ensemble.

YESTERYEAR BY WONG KA YAN


This design ties several iconic old-HK elements together using a fresh and young perspective; the yin-yang mandarin collar and knot button are decidedly cheongsam style, while the mini skirt is definitely western. The highlight of this piece is the unique drawstring sleeves that are inspired by traditional elasticized work-sleeves worn by HK factory workers and hawkers in the 1970s.
